Abstract
Psychology as a field continues to move toward competencies across all levels of training (Fouad et al., Training and Education in Professional Psychology 3(4):S5–S26, 2009). New technologies bring the opportunity and responsibility to consider new training competencies for psychologists. This holds true with telemental health, or delivery of mental health services using real-time videoconferencing. While psychiatry has been the most common telemedicine service, psychology services are becoming more common over televideo and warrant consideration of training competencies for the next generation of psychologists.
