Abstract

ANGELMAN, or Happy Puppet syndrome, comprises mental retardation, microbrachycephaly and characteristic stiff, jerky, ataxic, puppet-like movements, a happy disposition and episodes of spontaneous laughter. The condition is the consequence of a defect in the long arm of chromosome 15.
