Secondary Tumours, Lymphomas and Rare Tumours

  • Chapter
Pathology of the Pancreas

Abstract

Secondary tumours of the pancreas are common but, as they seldom produce clinical symptoms or recognisable disturbances of pancreatic function, they have been considered in the past to be of little practical importance. The modern methods of producing images of the pancreas, and of its ducts and vessels, may, however, have made information about secondary tumours of the organ more than purely academic.
