Abstract
Modelling of clouds is a difficult problem in computer graphics. Shapes of clouds cannot be defined using traditional modelling techniques. Several authors presented their approaches to clouds modelling. They have applied complex mathematical models or used rough simplifications.
This paper presents a simple method that is used to model various types of clouds. The described technique involves fractals and sine functions to obtain realistic results. Part of the work relating to light scattering in clouds is based on the work of N. Max.
