Abstract

For purposes of description, pelvic structures can be divided into two components: bony and soft tissue. Details of the anatomy and pathological entities involving the musculoskeletal part of the pelvis are discussed in Chapters 21, 22 and 23. The purpose of this chapter is to describe the anatomy and pathological processes affecting the pelvic soft tissues and viscera and to outline our radiological approach to children with known or suspected abnormalities involving these structures.
