Abstract
Supplier management, at the organization level, has two basic responsibilities: (1) to ensure that the engineering environment is based on a defined engineering process, with engineers trained to work within that environment; (2) to ensure that the engineering process is being used and is effective in producing products that meet or exceed the product’s requirements (i.e., functionality, reliability, maintainability, testability, usability, and supportability).
