Abstract
One of the greatest strengths of the matching process is its deference to the preferences of the student. The matching algorithm gives each student a match to the program on his or her list with highest possible ranking. Therefore, your list of programs, and the order in which you list them, is extremely important. While most of the hard part of the residency search process is behind you by the time you are ready to make your list, it is too early to become complacent. (You can do that the day after the match results are announced.)
