Abstract
Intraoperative technical considerations will be discussed only to the extent that they may make an aesthetic difference. These include factors that have a direct aesthetic impact and those that influence the aesthetic result in a more indirect fashion. For instance, an example of a technical variation that may directly influence the aesthetic result is an alar cinch suture. An example of an indirect factor would be technical variations that affect stability, which may have a more gradual yet longer term effect on the aesthetic outcome.
