Abstract

Suspected skeletal infection is one of the most common indications for skeletal scintigraphy in children. This chapter reviews infections of the pediatric skeleton and the role of skeletal scintigraphy in their diagnosis. The imaging strategy that we employ in assessing suspected acute osteomyelitis is described.
