Abstract
The purpose of the ELLPACK preprocessor is to read a user’s ELLPACK program, recognize it, and generate an appropriate ELLPACK control program to carry out the user’s requests. In order to accomplish this the preprocessor must know certain information about each of the ELLPACK problem solving modules. In this chapter we describe briefly the way in which this information is supplied to the preprocessor by contributors. We begin with a general orientation to the workings of the preprocessor.
