Abstract

In this paper the application of short-term tests using mammalian cell cultures to examine inhibition of chemical carcinogenesis/mutagenesis will be discussed. The choice of the mammalian cell system was made on the assumption that quantitative data obtained with cultured cells could be reliably extrapolated to the whole animal.
