Structural Analysis by Neutron Diffraction of Nitrogen Sorbed Phases on Silicalite I and ZSM-5 (Si / Al = 23) Zeolites

Abstract

Nitrogen sorbed phase on silicalite I undergoes two phase transitions. We have determined by neutron diffraction the structural properties of the three N2 sorbed phases involved in the transitions. The first one is a disordered mobile phase, the second one a lattice fluid phase and the third one a commensurate crystalline solid phase. The same three phases have been also observed by neutron diffraction during the sorption of N2 on ZSM-5 (Si / Al = 23).
