Abstract
This volume has given us an excellent opportunity to examine the flow and interactions of cellular membranes. It is clear that scientists with diverse interests are now involved in “membranology,” and their special expertise adds new dimensions to the field. Endocrinologists, immunologists, physical chemists, and cell biologists are all reviewing their systems in a common forum.
