Abstract
Radiation, chemotherapy, and/or surgery used to treat cancer can induce profound changes in the oral cavity, leading to pain, secondary infection, and functional defects. Understanding the patient’s systemic and oral condition and utilizing preventive and palliative therapy can save the patient from unnecessary discomfort and deformity.
