Abstract
In the last several years, Computer-Aided Design techniques have moved from dream to reality. Activity and interest are currently at an all time high. As the variety of computer graphics hardware broadens and costs fall, as software availability increases, the use of interactive display devices throughout the Design process will rise exponentially. This paper discusses the Design process, the CAD evolution, and various “interactive computer graphics” applications related to Design that are presently in work at MCDONNELL DOUGLAS CORPORATION (ST. LOUIS).
