Abstract

The foot, which is triangular in outline, extends from the point of the heel to the root of the toes (Fig. 779). It is divided into the tarsus (posterior half) and the metatarsus (anterior half). The landmarks which are visible over the lateral aspect are thin in contrast with the more bulky medial markings.
