Introduction

  • Chapter
Ovarian Carcinoma

Abstract

The purpose of this book is to collect in a single volume pertinent material about ovarian malignancy that is either new or in which there has been a change in traditional concepts in terms of contemporary findings and knowledge. To accomplish this goal, it was necessary first to identify the problems associated with ovarian cancer and then to suggest solutions in light of the present phase of medical development. This chapter identifies problems related to ovarian cancer but does not discuss them in detail. The detailed discussions are included in the appropriate chapters.
