Abstract
The more common deformities of the upper two auricular thirds that are amenable to aesthetic surgery having been discussed, let me now analyze those of the lower third. These deformities can vary, and combine, but I attempted here to establish basic concepts of treatment. The lower third is composed of the skeletal cartilage and the hanging lobule. Each has particular deformities, and I take them in order. Total lobe repair is, however, discussed in Chapters 15 and 22.
