Focusing and Framing

Abstract

With your telescope properly polar aligned you can now attach your CCD imager and the rest of your imaging train to your telescope. The next thing you will need to do is to make sure your camera is precisely focused. It can’t be stated enough how important precise focus is to the outcome of your images. Without precise focus, your images will be somewhat fuzzier than they should be, and the fine details you are looking for in your images will be lost.
