Abstract

We now need to establish the exact duties of all the physician’s support personnel and provide necessary training, especially on how to effectively invite and schedule patients. In larger systems, the champion and program coordinator will develop training protocols for the physician’s scheduling staff, nurses and MAs, and receptionists on their respective roles in promoting the DIGMA or PSMA in a positive manner, encouraging patients to attend, and getting patients scheduled. There may be additional meetings with the office manager and administrators to work out any outstanding logistical, training, support, or flow issues.
