Abstract
The patient was identified in the preoperative holding area and brought to the operating room. General endotracheal anesthesia was administered and IV antibiotics given.
The patient was put in lateral decubitus position with the upper arm supported by a padded post. The right/left elbow was then prepped and draped in the usual sterile fashion. A sterile tourniquet was applied to the proximal right arm. A longitudinal dorsal midline incision was made starting 15 cm proximal to the tip of the olecranon and extending over the proximal ulna for 4 cm.
