Abstract
Born November 15, 1874, in the small town of Grenaa on the Jutland peninsula of Denmark, August was the first-born child of the young shipbuilder Viggo Krogh and his wife Mimi. The couple had moved to Grenaa with Mimi’s mother when they married in 1873.
