Abstract
The aim of this chapter is to give a succinct overview on white matter injury in aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (a SAH) in humans. Different mechanisms lead to white matter injury in aSAH: early brain injury, delayed brain injury, and hydrocephalus. The problem of white matter injury after SAH is a relatively understudied topic, and little is known about the specific mechanisms that cause damage.
