Abstract
One crucial side effect of the development of the knowledge economy and its army of knowledge workers is that the value of knowledge gets conflated with the job market. Knowledge finds its place in a market for the contributions made by knowledge workers. In effect there is a market in knowledge. It remains implicit and its mechanisms are not studied.
