Abstract

The International Society on Oxygen Transport to Tissue (ISOTT) was founded in 1973 to facilitate the exchange of information among those scientists interested in aspects of the transport and/or utilization of oxygen in tissues. Its members encompass virtually all disciplines, extending from various areas of clinical medicine such as anesthesiology, critical care or internal medicine and other disciplines through the basic biomedical sciences of physiology, biochemistry and radiobiology to most branches of biophysics and engineering.
