Application of the Bäcklund-Transformation in the Sine-Gordon System

  • Chapter
Nonlinear Superconductive Electronics and Josephson Devices

Abstract

In recent years the spectral transform for the sine-Gordon equation has been carefully investigated [1–3]. At the same time the perturbed sine-Gordon system has been used as a model for long Josephson tunnel junctions [4], being able to reproduce experimental results concerning I–V characteristics, radiation spectra, line width, stability etc [5–8].
