Abstract
A holographic character memory is a part of data addressed optical storage systems. A version of holographic character memory with bit-sequential search is considered. The input of quest digits is carried out by a deflector, and data processing to voive problems of simple and complex search is performed by parallel electronic processor with an optical input. Experimental system for organic compound search is aescribed. Evaluations show, that the time of solving typical search problems in holographic character memory, being under consideration, is less than that of a system of the “magnetic disk-computer” type by 2–3 orders.
