Abstract
I have been asked to provide for you at this time what has been termed a “Synthesis of the Symposium”. Should you ask the question as to what properly constitutes a synthesis, by way of an answer I can only tell you what my approach will be here this morning. Recall, if you will, in the opening paper that Dr. Freed referred to his presentation as an overview. In the same context, mine might be described as a post-posterior view, i.e., one looking back from the end.
