Abstract
Job evaluation is a systematic means of determining the proper wage and salary rates to apply to specific jobs, so that insofar as possible equitable and comparable rates will be paid for all work of comparable difficulty, responsibility, educational and experience requirements, exposure to hazards, and other appropriate factors. A program of job evaluation involves first the analysis of all work currently being done, and then grouping of all jobs into a smaller number of classes or titles, and further grouping of these titles (or kinds of jobs) into a relatively small number of grades, with a specific rate attached to each grade.
