Abstract
Since the development of pars plana vitrectomy (1) this procedure has become the standard from of treatment for dense non-clearing vitreous hemorrhages, and traction retinal detachments involving the macula caused by diabetic retinopathy. This report concerns the visual and anatomical results 10 years following vitrectomy for diabetic retinopathy.
