Abstract
The considerable number of theoretical papers published in recent years on stimulated emission of radiation from channeled particles1–6 attests to the lively interest aroused by this subject. The fact that relativistic channeled electrons and positrons are good sources of x-ray radiation which is reasonably monochromatic, tunable, polarized and collimated, lends itself to the conjecture that they might be used to construct an x-ray laser with similar properties.
