Abstract
So far, we’ve explored how Grunt can be used to optimize working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Next, we’ll discover how Grunt can be used with another fundamental task of web development: producing visual assets. Since the start of the mobile revolution, the fall of Flash, and the emergence of high-density pixel displays, preparing visual assets for production has become more and more complicated. In this chapter, Grunt will be used to optimize images, producing multiple versions for different devices, and to minify SVG files. As always, using Grunt results in a powerful set of tools that can be used across many projects.
