Abstract
Several methods have been employed in attempts to estimate atraumatically the in-vivo cerebral blood flow and metabolism. One approach is to measure brain hemoglobin oxygen-saturation level and blood volume in vivo by using near-infrared reflection or transmission spectroscopy1,2
