Abstract
The purpose of the study was to assess the occurrence of gross cerebral atrophy in alcoholic patients and to investigate the relationships between cerebral atrophy and two variable which are considered to be major determinants in the production of brain damage. The variables are (1) the quantity-frequency of alcohol intake; and (2) the duration of abuse.
