Abstract
The scientists’ compulsion to fiddle with nature and change the course of natural events makes people, including many scientists, uneasy about the future. This is nowhere more evident than when dealing with human reproduction. The numerous taboos surrounding sexuality, including secrecy, and reticence toward openly discussing personal sexual matters create a tension that intensifies differences about the morality of sexual practices and innovations in fertility techniques.
