Abstract
Multi-modalism is the process of operation/providing a door-to-door/warehouse-to-warehouse service to the shipper embracing two or more forms of transport, and involving the merchandise being conveyed in a unitized form in the same unit for the throughout transit. It involves a scheduled/dedicated service. Forms of multi-modalism are given below:

Containerization — FCL/LCL/road/sea/rail.

Land-bridge — trailer/truck — road/sea/road.

Land-bridge — pallet/IATA container — road/sea/air/road.

(d)
Trailer/truck — road/sea/road.

Swap body — road/rail/sea/road.
