Uncommon tumours of the oral cavity and oropharynx

  • Chapter
Management of Rare Adult Tumours

Abstract

The rare non-squamous tumours of the oral cavity and oropharynx consist of a different variety of malignancies which are no less significant than squamous cell carcinoma. They pose a challenging problem in differential diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Clinicians should be aware of these unusual neoplasms. This article is an overview of different histologic types along with their clinical presentations, findings, and treatment modalities.
