Abstract
Acupuncture is an important complementary treatment used in the prophylaxis and treatment of headache. This ancient treatment is safe, easy, economic, and effective in most cases. Traditional Chinese medicine and modern medicine now intersect for the treatment of headaches. There is a vast amount of molecular and imaging evidence showing the effect of acupuncture. Acupuncture treatments of primary headaches such as tension-type, migraine, cluster, and chronic daily headaches are discussed in this chapter.
