Abstract

At present time SEVSAT is in use on board of ships for the providing of broadband communication channel between the ship and the coast via satellites in geostationary orbits. In the measurements the parameters of satellite channel, depending on various external affecting factors, were obtained. The experiments were made on real equipment with various combinations of ship position, sea state, weather conditions. Based on the results of the experiments the statistical analysis of the influence of various factors was performed.
