Abstract
It is important to understand that when performing a hymenoplasty, no vaginal tightening procedure is being done. Having said so, it means that with a hymenoplasty only, the vaginal entrance will be covered but no tightening will be done inside. This procedure has a cultural importance and can be very significant for many women.
A hymenoplasty procedure is easily done when carunculae are present; carunculae are hymen remnants present after the hymen is ruptured. Although easily done have a high rate of dehiscence so a meticulous surgeon is very important.
