Abstract

Safety is not only one of the fundamental human needs but also a condition for economic and social development. The technological and industrial revolution of recent years has significantly affected the shaping of the level of safety, generating new threats on the one hand, and new opportunities on the other. Telematics has an essential place among these new possibilities, and, owing to the development of technology, miniaturisation and digital transformation of our world, has become a tool which has an essential impact on the shaping of the level of safety. However, an essential condition in this case, is the perception and recognition of these new possibilities, their proper implementation and use. The pace and scale of changes in the area of telematics solutions produces a need to carry out many analyses and studies, the aim of which is to identify the best technologies and solutions as well as the ways of their implementation. Many of today’s organisations do not know how to implement specific solutions and in what order, how to build systems and relationships in the digital world using telematics. The article attempts to identify and comprehensively approach the factors determining the use of such solutions and their implementation into practice.
