Abstract
This chapter analyses the emergence of church-related universities in the country. The author approaches church-related universities from the perspective of reconstruction. He seeks to understand how these universities can contribute to development in Zimbabwe. While appreciating their significance, he also identifies some weaknesses. The author’s contribution draws attention to the role of churches in higher education and how this contributes to development.
