Abstract
Bullying is recognized as a modern social problem affecting mainly children and teenagers. Bullies and victims are involved in a pliad of psychological processes which affect their daily life and future health-related decisions. Aggressive behavior at school environment interferes with developmental processes of body image for both victims and bullies, and teasing about someone’s appearance during childhood has been widely linked with an increased interest in esthetic surgery later in their life. Cosmetic physicians must be aware of any developmental sequelae that have created motivation in their patients. Better understanding of their motivation may lead to more optimal patient selection and better health-care services.
