Zur Informationsdarstellung in datenverarbeitenden Anlagen werden Spannungspegelverwendet, wobei im allgemeinen nur zwischen einem Spannungspegel „höheren“ und „niederen“ Potentials unterschieden.wird. Neben diesen Festlegungen.über die Informationsdarstellung ist die Zerlegung des zeitlichen Ablaufes in diskrete Zeitintervalle von entscheidender Bedeutung.
