Abstract

Siwalik or Churia Group of rocks in Arung Khola–Tinau Khola area; north and south belts; Arung Khola Formation of mudstones and subordinate sandstones forming fining–upwards cycles; Binai Khola Formation containing very thick pepper-and-salt sandstones; Chitwan Formation made up of conglomerates; Deorali Formation representing matrix-supported gravel; lithic arenites and quartz arenites cemented by calcite; paleocurrents in Churia Group; paleomagnetism and regional correlation of Churia Group; imbricate faults and structure of north and south belts.
