Peripheral Nerve Entrapments

Abstract

The use of diagnostic testing in peripheral nerve entrapment should always be guided by the information obtained from the history and physical examination. Targeted diagnostic tests to rule in or out specific clinical entities may be very helpful, particularly when evaluating possible nerve entrapments in areas of the body that are less easily examined. Care must be exercised to avoid time-consuming and costly evaluations of incidental findings, which are unlikely to be clinically significant.
