Abstract
Headache affects life quality and causes serious impairments in academic and social functioning during adolescence. Substance abuse may also cause irreversible disabilities regarding health and social life. This case report is about a patient with migraine who has developed different characteristics of headache after substance abuse. The main aim of this case report is to define the characteristics of headache during use and abstinence of substance, to define necessary treatment strategies, and to do differential diagnosis of other secondary headaches. The other aims are to warn family of adolescents about the risks of substance abuse and to emphasize the importance of the evaluation of the adolescent who has a headache complaint by a physician.
