Abstract

Bone marrow is a specialized connective tissue type. It is located within the spaces of bone. It can be divided into red bone marrow and white bone marrow. The composition of both types of bone marrow is described here. Blood cells are formed in the red bone marrow. The formation of the different types of blood cells is explained via intuitive tables in this chapter.
