Abstract

In this study, functionalized multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were employed as sorbent for separation of pesticides. The proposed method is simple, cost-effective, and sensitive for the simultaneous determination of pesticides. Mancozeb and pymetrozine using functionalized multiwalled carbon nanotubes as solid-phase extraction (SPE) adsorbents were extracted and determined with multivariate calibration simultaneously. Condition parameters, such as sample loading time, eluent and elution volume, pH, and acid concentration, were optimized to achieve good sensitivity and precision for the extraction and simultaneous determination of analytes. The figures of merit of the proposed method were obtained, limits of detection 10 and 3 (μgL−1), linear ranges 10–600 and 3–87 (μgL−1) for pymetrozine and mancozeb, respectively, and RSD% of method was less than 2 % for mancozeb and 3.2 % for pymetrozine.
