Magnetic Properties of Nanocrystalline Microwires

Abstract

We have studied magnetic properties of Finemet-type and Hitperm-type microwires. In the case of the Finemet-type we observed that GMI effect and magnetic softness of microwires can be considerably improved by annealing. A considerable GMI effect has been observed in annealed FeCuNbSiB microwires exhibiting nanocrystalline structure. From the dependence of magnetic properties and GMI effect on the annealing temperature we identified optimal annealing conditions.

For the Hitperm-type annealing results in an enhancement in the domain wall velocity as well as its mobility.
